  • 1) the -Rbhu : following Monier’s description (until we will stumble upon that chapter), Nahum 2 (page) comes to mind, describing “the three pools of the Moon (inner-court)”; compare also Enki breaking down those cisterns (diagrams); the 3 were either copied or moved into the north (compare scripture “the lower pool and the upper pool at the fuller’s field, north”); the three copied pools as glyph SESHEMTT, ‘sacred place to Horus’. A CoffinText shows a vignette with four pools – two presided by a frog, and two by KHEPER (TvaSTR), fitting Monier’s description of “to make four bowls from three”;

  • 1) line continuity : bit tricky here, because it appears that the ‘office of priest’ is Thoth’s title, while ‘the deity’ in next line 4 is their doubled-construct; we can’t make out yet why “the glowing” is important – but suggest that “the pools do not have any eden-covering (‘glowing’) around them, no longer”;

4. Dieser Agni sucht das Weite vor der Geburt, wie vor dem Unsterblichen. Der Gott, der gewaltiger als selbst der Gewaltige, ist zum Leben geschaffen.
4 This Agni rescues from distress, as ’twere from the Immortal Race, A God yet mightier than strength, a God who hath been made for life.
